the “LIBER BAPTIZATORUM” Pages of the Baptisms in Kilmactigue Parish, at Tourlestrane (St. Attracta’s) Church and possibly Holy Rosary –
The Church Records of Baptisms, Marriages, and Deaths we have images (pictures of) from well before the NLI Catholic Church registers were put online in 2015. As noted (Pg. 31) It is certified as a true and accurate copy of the “old registers” dating to 1845(? but some are earlier) forward.
The Latter Day Saints made copies –LDS (Familysearch.org) File # 127923 Item 7. They need to be compared page by Page —
IF ANYONE COULD POSSIBLY TALK WITH THE ACTIVE RETIREMENT CENTER OR OTHER SUCH LOCAL SOUTH SLIGO GROUPS< PERHAPS WE COULD SEE IF THEY MIGHT HELP!
It also should be noted the Ledgers are Two-Pages, Left Side, and Right Side. They should be consulted together: {Such as: Page 2 Has Child Baptised, Parents Names (Mother’s Maiden Name), and Townland; on the opposite facing page (Page 3 in this example) lists the Sponsor/Witnesses’ Names (GodParents). One should look at BOTH PAGES:
This is a “modern copy” done “Lent 1918” by PP “R.H Quinn” (as He notes on page 31)
